The OPPO A98 5G will launch as a new mid-range smartphone for the Chinese market. The phone is likely to launch in India as well. Ahead of its launch, the phone has been spotted on the CQC certification website. The A98 5G has the model number CPH2529. According to the CQC listing, the A98 5G will offer support for 67W fast charging out of the box.
The phone was also spotted on the TRDA website. It confirmed the official moniker and its associated model number.
In addition to the above listings, the phone was also spotted on the HTML5 Test and NBTC certification websites. The listings revealed that the phone will run Android 13 out of the box. We can expect it to have a layer of ColorOS 13 on top of Android.
Other details of the phone have leaked as well. It is said to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The phone is likely to also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. We can expect the phone to offer some support for a high refresh rate.
