Oppo, back in July last year, launched the Oppo A97 smartphone in the Chinese market. The company finally appears to be prepping up to launch its successor – the Oppo A98 5G. We have spotted the upcoming Oppo A98 5G with the model number CPH2529 on Thailand’s NBTC certification database. The appearance of the upcoming A-series smartphone on the certification website hints toward an imminent launch.

The Oppo A98 NBTC listing confirms that it will feature support for 5G connectivity. Alongside, the upcoming A-series smartphone has also been spotted on the HTML5Test database. Let us take a closer look at the details.

As mentioned above, the Oppo A98 5G has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC. The HTML5Test listing confirms that the Oppo A98 5G will come pre-loaded with Android 13. This is the first time when the Oppo A98 has appeared on a certification website so nothing is known about the device in terms of specifications and features. However, we can surely expect the device to make an appearance on other certification websites in the coming days.

The predecessor of the upcoming A-series device – the Oppo A97 was introduced back in July 2022. Let us take a quick recap of Oppo A97 specifications and features.
