OPPO A9X Launched in China With 48-Megapixel Camera, 4,020 mAh Battery


OPPO has launched a new smartphone in China, the OPPO A9X that belongs to the mid-range segment. The phone is yet another addition to OPPO’s A-series and features a gradient rear panel design. The OPPO A9X has debuted in Ice Jade White and Meteorite Black color options. The phone has been launched in a single variant – 6GB RAM+128GB Storage. It is all set to go on sale in China on May 21, 2019.

OPPO A9X With MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, Dual Rear Cameras, VOOC 3.0 Support

The OPPO A9X comes with a massive 6.5-inch full-HD+ notched display at 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The waterdrop notch on top of the screen houses the selfie camera. A MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core powers the smartphone with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the software front, the phone runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.


In the imaging department, the OPPO A9X has 48MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear wherein the primary 48MP 6P lens has an aperture of f/1.7. It has a 16MP selfie snapper on the front with f/2.0 aperture and features such as Portrait mode and more. A 4,020mAh battery backs the device with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

OPPO A9X Expected Price in India, OPPO Reno Debuting in India on May 28

The OPPO A9X price in India is expected to be CNY 1,999 (INR 20,200). The phone is already up for pre-orders in China through OPPO’s e-shop. Another OPPO phone that recently made a debut in China is the OPPO A9 at CNY 1,799 (around Rs 18,700). In India, the brand is gearing up to the launch the OPPO Reno and OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition on May 28, 2019.

With the swivel camera design, the Reno series is expected to impress Indian consumers. Interestingly, the Reno 10X Zoom Edition also has a 48MP primary lens like the OPPO A9X. Also, Flipkart is going to be the official online retailer for both the Reno phones in India.

  1. A perfect midrange phone. I prefer MediaTek processor over snapdragon in this price segment. MediaTek Helio P70 has been getting great reviews! So I am excited about this one!
