Oppo F19s is here, adding a new product to the company’s F19 series of mid-premium range of smartphones. The device joins the Oppo F19 Pro and F19 Pro Plus in India, and is being introduced as the company’s festive season offering. The smartphone introduces a new, festive season colour variant — Glowing Gold. According to Oppo, this colour variant is made using a unique design technology, and is the first smartphone in India to use an AG shimmering sand technology to achieve the design.
Oppo F19s: Price and Availability
The Oppo F19s has been launched at a price of Rs 19,990 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart and Oppo’s e-store, and sale for the smartphone begins from 4PM today.
In terms of specifications, the Oppo F19s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This squarely pegs the smartphone in the mid-range smartphone segment, with a premium design looking to punch above the weight in terms of its appeal to buyers. The device features a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, with 20:9 aspect ratio, and uniformly thin bezels minus a slightly thicker band at the bottom. The drill hole slot for the front camera is to the top left of the display.
Oppo has focused on the design and build quality of the smartphone, with a 3D curved body offering dual curved rear panel edges, supporting a flat display. The smartphone measures 7.95mm in thickness, and Oppo claims that this makes it one of the slimmest phones to offer a 5,000mAh battery in tow. This makes it similar to Samsung’s newly announced offering, the Galaxy M52 5G, which has been unveiled with a 5,000mAh battery in a 7.4mm chassis. The device is being offered in two colours — Glowing Gold and a starry Glowing Black.
Other key features include a 48MP triple rear camera, and a 16MP front camera as well. The two additional rear camera units are 2MP ones, and will offer portrait mode assistance and macro photography. The 5,000mAh battery also offers 33W fast charging, that Oppo claims will offer 5.5 hours of talktime with 5 minutes of charging time. It also gets dual-band Wi-Fi, an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-LTE standby, and USB-C for wired connectivity and charging. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio port for wired IEMs.
