OPPO has confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the F23 5G in India. The new OPPO F-series smartphone will debut as a successor to the F21s Pro series, which was launched last year in India. OPPO F23 5G India launch event will be hosted on May 15. The company has now revealed the design of the upcoming OPPO F series smartphone ahead of its launch.

OPPO F23 5G: What We Know About the India Launch
The OPPO F23 5G will be a mid-range smartphone offering in India. The device will make its debut in the country on May 15. OPPO revealed that the phone will feature a flat frame design. The phone has a pill-shaped camera module on the back. The F23 5G has a triple-camera setup. The top portion of the camera module houses a single sensor, whereas the other two sensors and an LED flash module are in the bottom half of the module.
The text on the camera module confirms that the F23 5G will feature support for 40x micro-lens zoom. Moreover, the event page confirms that the phone will feature a 64MP main camera sensor. It is likely that the other two sensors will feature two 2MP sensors for depth mapping and micro-lens zoom.
On the front, the phone has a flat screen. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top center for the front camera. The chin bezel at the bottom of the display is also fairly thick compared to the rest of the bezels. The left edge of the phone has the volume rocker, whereas the right edge has the power button.
The phone has a 120Hz display. It will also pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging support. OPPO revealed that the F23 5G will launch with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In addition to this, the phone will get four years of “lag-free experience,” according to the event microsite.
The fine print at the end of the website confirms that the F23 5G will be a rebadged OPPO A98 5G, which was launched earlier today. In that case, the F23 5G will feature a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution. There will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood. The device will also feature a 32MP front camera sensor. The India price and sale details will be announced at the event on May 15.
