Since July this year up until now we have seen some major smartphones being released in the Indian markets. Among those there are three namely- Xiaomi Mi A2, Oppo F9 and the latest of them all, Vivo V11 Pro, launched in the months of July, August and September respectively. These are mid-range smartphones. The phones are pretty much similar in their features and specifications, with some essential differences that sets them apart, along with their price points.
The Vivo V11 Pro and Oppo F9 are Android 8.1 based phones while the Mi A2 runs on Android One as its OS. Apart from a few features, all three phones have something different they can offer, and here we’ll find out which one is better when compared with each other.

The Oppo F9 is a single variant smartphone with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with price in India at Rs. 21,990. The Oppo F9 is available in Mist Black, and Stellar Purple as colour variants and the price does not change with the choices in colour. The Xiaomi A2 is available in a single, 4GB/64GB variant and priced at Rs 16,999 in India.
The Vivo V11 Pro is slightly expensive for the other two devices. The Vivo V11 Pro similarly comes in a single variant of 6GB/64GB and is available for Rs.25,990. So as per the pricing of the three products goes, the Xiaomi Mi A2 leads the pack with competitive pricing, which is much affordable than the Oppo F9 and Vivo V11 Pro.

The Oppo F9 has a large enough 6.3-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Oppo has provided with a stunning waterdrop design, with a screen to body ratio of 90.8 percent. The Oppo F9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset at 2.0GHz alongside an ARM Mali-G72 GPU. The device has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which could be expanded up to 256GB. The Xiaomi Mi A2 boasts a 5.99-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 2060×1080 pixels in resolution. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4GB worth of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi A2 has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 but no memory expansion option whatsoever.
The Vivo V11 Pro boasts the excellent Halo FullView Super AMOLED display with 1080×2340 Full HD+ resolution with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, along with 91.27 percent screen-to-body ratio. A Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor, clocked at 2.2GHz and along with Adreno 512 GPU is what powers the Vivo V11. A 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage completes the device, with the expansion of memory available up to 256GB. On Processor and GPU alone the Vivo V11walks ahead of the Oppo F9 and Xiaomi Mi A2.

The Oppo F9 features a 16MP+2MP primary dual rear cameras with a 16MP selfie shooter provided on the front side of the smartphone. There are features including AI-assisted selfies as well as AI HDR for low-light photography on the Oppo F9.
The Xiaomi Mi A2, however, packs a rather powerful camera setup. Xiaomi has provided with a 12MP primary lens and added a 20 MP secondary rear lens to the Mi A2. From a rear camera perspective, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is the hands-down winner, but Vivo does slightly edge the Mi A2 with its selfie shooter.

Among the three smartphones here, the Oppo F9 has the largest sized battery with a 3500mAh unit, with the support of the powerful VOOC charging. The Oppo F9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out-of-the-box. The Xiaomi Mi A2 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS-based Android One. The Mi A2 boasts a rather timid 3010mAh battery but makes up for the deficiency with Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging capabilities.
The Vivo V11 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.5 out of the box with Jovi AI assistant, AI Game Mode and more. The Vivo V11 packs a decent 3400mAh non-removable battery.
OPPO F9 vs Xiaomi Mi A2 vs Vivo V11 Pro: Verdict
Overall from a price and specifications perspective, the Xiaomi Mi A2 looks like the clear winner among the other two. Consider a powerful camera setup (front & rear), price and the specifications, which are much similar to the Vivo V11 Pro here, barring the RAM capacity, which is more on the Vivo device. But if you are looking at more advanced tech in a smartphone and are ready to pay a premium compared to the other two, then the Vivo V11 could be the choice. Our verdict based on most factors, especially, value for money, then the Xiaomi Mi A2 is the choice here.
