OPPO, last year, launched its first clamshell foldable phone, the Find N2 Flip in its hometown country, China. OPPO, during the launch event, confirmed that it will launch the device globally in the first quarter of 2023. It has now been revealed that the phone will launch next week. OPPO has announced that the Find N2 Flip will launch globally on February 15, 2023 at 8:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time). Earlier, the phone was rumoured to launch during Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The launch event will take place in London and it will be live streamed on company’s YouTube channel.

OPPO Find N2 Flip: Everything We Know So Far
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will be the first foldable phone from the company to launch outside China. The previous gen OPPO Find N was limited to China only. The company took feedback and took a decision to launch the Find N2 Flip globally. As of now, the company hasn’t confirmed whether the phone will launch in India or not, but the event page has gone live on the company’s India page so we can speculate that it will launch in India as well.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip marketing images were recently leaked which confirmed that the device will have a Hasselblad-tuned dual-camera setup on the back. Furthermore, the marketing material also confirmed that the global variant will have the same specifications as the Chinese variant. It will launch globally in Astral Black and Moonlit Purple colours.
The Find N2 Flip sports a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED foldable screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also sports an AMOLED cover display of 3.26 inches. The primary display has a punch-hole cutout for housing the 32MP selfie camera. The cover display only supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The chipset pairs with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The device runs on Color OS 13 on top of Android 13 out of the box. On the optics side, it sports a dual-rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX 890 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. A 4300mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging backs the device.
The smartphone was launched in China with a starting price tag of CNY 5999 (Rs 71,500 approx). A report has revealed that it will launch at EUR 1100 (roughly Rs 98,000) and EUR 1200 (roughly Rs 1,07,000) in Europe. If it launches in India, then the price should be lower compared to global pricing.
The upcoming OPPO clamshell foldable phone will compete against the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 in global markets. OnePlus has also teased the launch of its clamshell foldable phone and confirmed that it will launch its foldable devices in third quarter of 2023. Various reports claim that the upcoming foldable phones from OnePlus will be called OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip.
