OPPO smartphones are known for their powerful cameras, and the Find N3 Flip marks several firsts for the brand. The OPPO Find N3 Flip is the first flip phone ever to have a triple-camera module. So not only do we get a traditional primary and ultra-wide shooter, but also a high-quality portrait camera that also offers optical and hybrid zoom capabilities, What’s more? The Find N3 flip has the largest camera sensors among its peers and is the only flip phone offering a telephoto lens. Further, the Hasselblad color science helped our photos to preserve a timeless look.
The Find N3 Flip’s primary 50MP lens flaunts a sensor size of 1/1.56-inch, which is 30% larger than other flip phones. The large sensor size combined with the OIS support ensured that the pictures we took were highly detailed, less noisy, and vivid with good dynamic range. Moving on to the 114-degree wide-angle 48MP sensor, it is over 100% larger than wide-angle lenses on other flip phones, ensuring more details and less background noise in all our shots.
The wide-angle sensor is also equipped with autofocus, allowing macro shots as close as 4cm from the subject. Lastly, the 32MP RGBW IMX709 sensor made Find N3 Flip the only flip phone offering optical zoom. It also offers 5x lossless hybrid zoom combined with portrait mode for stunning and natural portrait shots.
Apart from the sensor, the Find N3 Flip has the exceptional OPPO Computational Photography feature to capture the HDR information when we click the picture. The phone then processed the image pixel-by-pixel to render a realistic picture with great details in shadows and enhanced highlights. These pictures also look good on the Find N3 Flip display because of the ProXDR feature, which bumps the dynamic range by 8x. Additionally, Hasselblad features like HNCS, XPAN classic retro style mode, and Master Style take the imaging prowess of the device to the next level.
The cherry on the top is the FlexForm capture, which allowed us to utilize the upgraded Flexion hinge to take stunning selfies and pictures. The FlexForm Capture allowed us to take selfies from the primary camera using a palm gesture with a preview on the vertical cover display. We could also switch to the main display and fold it partially to place it on a surface and see the preview on the upper half of the display. This mode is ideal for long exposure, time-lapse, and more such shots. The Flip delivered striking images in a variety of situations and enabled a lot of flexibility in the way we use a camera to click everyday shots.
Looks That Captivate!
The flip smartphone industry is slowly getting crowded, and it takes much more than just a vertical folding form factor to stand out. And I am glad to report that the OPPO Find N3 Flip is undoubtedly the best-looking flip smartphone in the market. As they say, the devil is in the details, and it is these details where the Find N3 Flip truly shines.
OPPO is offering their latest flip phone in luxurious Cream Gold and Sleek Black colors with a distinctive finish. While the Cream Gold variant has a flowing wave texture showing off different hues as the light hits, the Sleek Black variant has a premium mirror-like finish. No matter which of these two you pick, you will turn heads everywhere you go. OPPO has added the fan-favourite alert slider on the Find N3 Flip, a first for flip phones. The most amazing thing about the design has to be the way the curved edges of the phone feel in the hand. Other flip phones in the market have very pointy edges that hurt the base of your palm. The Find N3 Flip is designed to be ergonomic, so it fits softly in your palm.
Taking the style quotient up a notch is the circular camera module, which OPPO calls Cosmos Ring, and it has a starlight track pattern on the module itself. I loved the in-hand feel of the Find N3 Flip because of the subtly curved edges. The device comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus back panel, with the most curved edges among other flip phones on the market. Additionally, the Find N3 Flip is crafted from aircraft-grade materials that guarantee a durable high-strength structure. Sturdy and comfortable, just how I like my flip.
But it is not just the back glass panel that is sturdy, OPPO has extended the durability to OPPO Find N3 Flip’s Flexion hinge. What impressed me further is that the hinge is TÜV Rheinland Reliable Folding certified, which means it has been tested to survive at least 6,00,000 folds. Moreover, the dual friction plates used in the hinge further enhance the Flexform stability of the device.
It means that you can open the Find N3 Flip 100 times a day, and it will still last over 16 years. But here is the kicker! You will probably not open the OPPO Find N3 Flip as much as other flip phones, which brings us to…
