OPPO launched the Find X5 Pro earlier this year in China and Europe. The new OPPO flagship smartphone came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a 50MP triple-camera setup. OPPO also launched a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC variant of the Find X5 series in China. It looks like the company might refresh its flagship smartphone very soon.
Tipster Digital Chat Station (via) claims that OPPO will launch a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC of the Find X5 series soon. If true, it is safe to assume that the Pro variant will get the mightiest chipset made by Qualcomm to date. The regular Find X5 comes with a Snapdragon 888 SoC.
In addition to the new Find X5 Pro, the company is also working on the launch of the new foldable phone. OPPO launched the Find N last year in China and is now said to be working on its successor codenamed White Swan. This foldable could well be called the OPPO Find N2. There is also a clamshell folding phone launching soon, which is codenamed Dragonfly.
The Chinese smartphone giant is also expected to launch the OPPO Watch 3 and the OPPO Band 2 later this year. There is no word on whether these devices will be made available globally.
OPPO has not launched the Find X5 series in India. The company might introduce its rumoured flagship smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC later this year.
OPPO Find X5 Pro Specifications
The Find X5 Pro sports a tall 6.7-inch Super AMOLED curved display. It has a QHD+ resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. It also has 1300 nits of peak brightness.
On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. It has a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor with an SLR-level five-axis OIS support. There is also a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultrawide camera with a 110-degree field of view and a 13MP telephoto camera with up to 20x digital zoom.
The Find X5 Pro comes with Hasselblad-tuned cameras and features the MariSilicon X NPU. It also has a 32MP front camera. As mentioned above, the Find X5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC globally.
