Foldable phones are going mainstream in 2021, primarily thanks to the efforts from Samsung with its Galaxy Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 devices. That said, other manufacturers have also been testing their foldable devices for the past few years and soon we might see a bunch of foldable devices from popular smartphone makers. Among them, Oppo might be the first one to bring a new foldable device. While the Oppo X 2021 Rollable Phone was a concept phone showcased back in June this year, the upcoming foldable phone from Oppo might go mainstream and take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. Oppo is gearing up to launch a new foldable in China soon and the key features of the foldable have surfaced on the web.

Digital Chat Station, a popular tipster on the Weibo platform in China has revealed several key features of the upcoming Oppo foldable phone. The Oppo Foldable phone is likely to feature a 7.8-inch or an 8-inch screen with 2K resolution. It will sport an AMOLED panel upfront. Further, the device is also said to feature a 120Hz screen refresh rate. OPPO Foldable PhoneSince the foldable is expected to be a flagship device, it is tipped to feature top of a line Snapdragon 888 processor in the heart. The Oppo Foldable phone is also said to feature a 32MP selfie camera and a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera on the back. We have seen the same sensor on the OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus 9 Pro and also the upcoming Oppo Reno7 is expected to bring the same sensor. 

Further, the device is said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as an in-display fingerprint scanner might get tricky to use on a foldable phone. Lastly, the Oppo Foldable phone is said to come with ColorOS 12 out of the box based on Android 11. Although, it is worth mentioning that Oppo recently unveiled the ColorOS 12 based on Android 12.
