Oppo has launched new color variants of the Oppo A7x and the Oppo K1 in China. These two mid-range smartphones have been available in China for a while now. While the Oppo A7x is the latest in the A series line-up, the K1 is an all new device. The Oppo K1 is the first in the new K series and features an in-display fingerprint sensor in the mid-range segment. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been launching new phones left right and center, so there’s plenty of options to choose from. However, if you didn’t like the current color options on these devices, then you can now choose something new.
Oppo K1, Oppo A7x New Color Variants Launched
Since both of these devices are available only in China for now, the new color options are also specific to this region. If the Mocha Red, Van Gogh Blue and the Silver Green gradient finish aren’t to your liking, then you can now go for the all new Ink Black option. Unlike the other color options that offer a gradient finish, the Ink Black variant doesn’t. It looks very glossy though, which means that it will be very attractive to fingerprints. The new color will be available for purchase on December 12 and it starts at CNY 1,599 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant. The 6GB RAM option will cost you CNY 1,799.
The Oppo A7x originally came with two color choices: Star Purple and Ice Flame Blue. The phone has been around since September, but if you weren’t impressed with the two gradient finishes, you can now select a third one. The A7x is now available in a Fog Pine Green color option, which looks similar to the Silver Green gradient on the Oppo K1. New colors are nice and often help improve sales. Once again, the new color variant will go on sale on December 12. It will cost you CNY 1,999 and is only available in a 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM combo.
Oppo K1 and A7x Features, Specifications
As mentioned at the start, the new Oppo K1 is the first in the new K series of smartphones from the company. The main selling point of this phone, is the in-display fingerprint scanner. It features a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top and is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset. If the phone was available in India, it would give tough competition to the Realme 2 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro, and others in the mid-range segment.
Apart from the large screen and the SD 660 processor, the Oppo K1 comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available in case you want to add more. The phone features a dual-rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary depth unit. On the front, a 25MP sensor takes care of selfies. A 3600mAh battery is available on board, but it doesn’t support fast charging. It runs ColorOS 5.2, based on Android 8.1, Oreo out of the box.
On the other hand, the Oppo A7x is just the latest in the A series and doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. It features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with waterdrop notch, a MediaTek P60 processor, 4GB RAM with up to 128GB storage, a 16MP+2MP rear dual camera setup, 16MP front camera, and a 3500mAh battery.
