Along with the Reno Ace, Oppo has also launched the K5 smartphone in China today. Going by the specifications, the Oppo K5 is pretty much identical to the Realme XT. And that’s because it is a rebranded Realme XT perhaps? Anyway, here is everything you need to know about the device.
Oppo K5 Price, Availability
Oppo has launched the K5 in China in three variants. The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant comes with a price tag of CNY 1,999. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configurations costs CNY 2,499. Whereas, the range-topping, 8GB RAM + 256GB option is priced at CNY 2,499. All of them will go on sale in China from 17th October.
Oppo K5 Specifications
The Oppo K5 has an AMOLED panel measuring 6.4-inches. It comes with Full HD+ resolution, a V-shaped notch at the top, and a screen to body ratio of over 91%. The brand is yet to disclose the display protection details.
The Oppo K5 makes use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, which has an impressive, 8nm fabrication process, eight Kryo 470 CPU cores, and Adreno 618 GPU. It is unclear at the moment which version of Android does the Oppo K5 run. Considering that Reno Ace has Android 10, I am expecting the Oppo K5 to have the same operating system. There will be, of course, ColorOS 6.1 on top of the OS.
The Oppo K5 comes with a quad-camera setup at the rear. It comprises of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Oppo has put a 32MP camera up front for selfies. The rear camera can record 4K videos, while the front-facing camera maxes out at Full HD.
The Oppo K5 packs a 3920mAh battery. And you get 30W Super VOOC 4.0 fast charging with it, that can charge the device from zero to 67 percent in 30 minutes. The device also comes with a USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
