OPPO has confirmed that it will be launching the OPPO K9 smartphone in China on May 6th. The company even has released the teaser image which reveals the phone’s design ahead of launch. The teaser depicts that the K9 will feature a triple-camera setup. Additionally, OPPO has mentioned in its Weibo post that the upcoming OPPO K9 will offer support for up to 65W rapid charging. The company even has revealed that the device will last for 2 hours with just 5 minutes of charging. The OPPO K9 will be the successor to the OPPO K7 smartphone that was launched in China last year. OPPO K9 Launch Set For May 6th in China
The exact specifications of the upcoming OPPO K9 smartphone remain a mystery at the moment. However, a new OPPO device with model number PEXM00 was recently spotted on TENAA certification. This particular handset is believed to launch as the K9 smartphone in China on May 6th. Some even speculate that the PEXM00 smartphone belongs to the OPPO’s upcoming Reno 6 series smartphone. If we take the previously leaked specs revealed by the TENAA in consideration, the OPPO PEXM00 is rumoured to feature a 6.43-inch display with Full HD+ resolution.
The images of the phone revealed by the TENAA authority didn’t showcase us the existence of the physical fingerprint sensor. This leads to fact that the device might offer an in-display fingerprint sensor, featuring an AMOLED screen. The device under the hood might be powered by the Snapdragon 768G 5G chipset, as revealed by the Geekbench certification. The OPPO K9 might ship with 8GB of RAM. The device on the software front is expected to run Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11 UI. Connectivity-wise, the K9 will offer 5G support.

The OPPO K9 might pack a 2100mAh dual-cell battery, as disclosed by the TENAA certification. Dimensions-wise, the phone might measure at around 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9mm.
