OPPO Pad 2 Launched in China with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC And More

OPPO has launched OPPO Pad 2 in China with the OPPO Find X6 series smartphones. The tablet has identical specifications with OnePlus Pad launched globally.

OPPO has taken the wraps off OPPO Pad 2 in China after many rumours and leaks. The Pad 2 was launched with OPPO Find X6, Find X6 Pro and OPPO Enco Free 3 TWS. The device is the successor to the OPPO Pad unveiled in 2022 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The new tablet is identical to OnePlus Pad, launched along OnePlus 11 series smartphones. The new OPPO tablet’s highlights include MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, 67W fast charging, 512GB storage, and more. OPPO Pad 2: Pricing and Availability

OPPO has priced the tablet at 2,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 36,100) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The middle variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 3,399 Yuan (approx. Rs 41,000). It goes up to 3,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 48,100) for the high-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.


OPPO has launched the tablet in two colour options, namely Light Feather Gold and Nebula Grey. The tablet will go on sale from March 24 in China. The company hasn’t revealed any information regarding the global launch date of the device. Previous reports showed the device could launch in global markets with a different chipset. Another variant of Pad 2 was listed in GeekBench with Snapdragon 888 chipset.

OPPO Pad 2 Specifications

The Oppo Pad 2 features an 11.61 inches IPS LCD display with a 2800 x 2000 pixels resolution. The display has an aspect ratio of 7:5, a peak brightness of 500 nits, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a screen-to-body ratio of 88%. The display also comes with support for Dolby Vision and 10-bit colours. Under the hood, it sports the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset built on a 4nm process. Even though the chipset has 5G capability, OPPO has launched the tablet in a Wi-Fi variant.

The chipset pairs with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and runs on Color OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. OPPO uses an aluminium body for the tablet and has a single camera on the rear. It uses a 13MP rear with support for recording videos up to 4K resolution. The 8MP front camera is housed inside the bezels around the display, which supports video recording up to 1080p @ 30fps.

The tablet is backed by a large 9510 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging tech. On the connectivity front, the tablets support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB-C port. OPPO has also launched a couple of accessories for the device, including OPPO Pencil 2 and a smart touch keyboard.
