Oppo R17 Pro India Launch

OPPO’s high-end R series is the closest thing to the flagship Find series in the company’s portfolio. And while OPPO debuted the eye-popping Find X in India, the R series remained in China for some time. That’s all set to change on December 4th as OPPO will take the curtains off the OPPO R17 Pro in Mumbai. The R17 Pro was also recently announced in other European markets like Italy recently and so, it was being presumed that it would be launching in India as well soon. The device is already up for pre-order on the official website, however, the prices of the handset are still under wraps.

We have received exclusive information that the premium smartphone from OPPO will be priced INR 44,990. OPPO announced the R17 Pro in China in August and it priced the handset at CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 44,000). Hence, the tipped Indian pricing of Rs 44,990 is quite realistic. However, the exact price will only be known tomorrow. Previously, speculation was rife that the R17 Pro would be priced around INR 44,000 in India. Sales of the handset will start tomorrow which is when OPPO will also reveal the exact price of the device.

Two of the most alluring features of the 4G handset include SuperVOOC fast charge and a triple-camera setup. If you still in the dark regarding OPPO’s SuperVOOC Charge, it’s arguably the fastest charging tech around which juices the battery up to 92 percent in 30 minutes. A recent fast charging speed test pitted around 59 phones against each other in which the OPPO R17 Pro emerged as the winner closely followed by the Honor Magic 2. The R17 Pro achieved a 92 percent charge in 30 minutes courtesy of the 50W SuperVOOC and the Honor Magic 2 clocked 82 percent. While OPPO introduced SuperVOOC along with the Find X Lamborghini Edition, it is only now that the tech is coming to India.

The OPPO R17 Pro is also the company’s first triple camera handset. The rear module consists of a primary 12MP sensor having f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture, a 20MP sensor with f/2.6 aperture and the third TOF 3D stereo camera. The front has a 25MP sensor housed in a more trendy dewdrop notch design.

The launch is scheduled for tomorrow as is the Amazon India sale that will go live tomorrow.
