OPPO Reno 10 Series Launch Date Officially Revealed; Teaser Confirms Design

OPPO has officially teased the launch of the Reno 10 series. The company has confirmed that it will launch the upcoming Reno 10 series in China on May 24. The OPPO launch event will be hosted a day after the launch of the iQOO Neo 8 series, which is set to launch on May 23. OPPO teased the launch of the Reno 10 series through a 1-minute long video, which reveals the design of a device. OPPO is expected to launch three phones in the lineup. These will be the Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+ 5G.

OPPO Reno 10 Series Launch: What You Need to Know

OPPO has teased the design of the Reno 10 series while confirming the official launch date. The Reno 10 series will launch on May 24. OPPO is expected to launch the phones outside China very soon. The devices might make it to India as well. OPPO is yet to confirm the details about the India launch of the Reno 10 series at the time of writing this. 

Meanwhile, the teaser video reveals the rear panel design of the Reno 10 series in the “Brilliant Gold” colour. There is also a purple colour option of the phone teased in a separate video. We can see the rear panel sporting a pill-shaped camera module for the triple-camera setup. The camera module has a dual-tone design, with the bottom half matching the colour of the rear panel. The device in the teaser has a square-shaped cutout at the bottom of the camera module, suggesting the use of a periscope lens. OPPO is rumoured to launch the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G with a 64MP periscope lens. The teaser does not specifically reveal the camera  details.

Some teasers on the official Weibo account reveal the curved display of the Reno 10 series. We can also confirm that the curved frame has a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille and a SIM tray at the bottom edge of the phone. The power and volume buttons are on the right side. OPPO revealed that the chin bezel is the slimmest at 2.12mm.

OPPO has not confirmed any other details about the devices. According to some of the leaked details, the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G will feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP periscope lens. The phone will sport a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It is also said to pack a 4700mAh battery and offer 100W fast charging support. There will be a 32MP front camera. The phone is also likely to measure 8.28mm in terms of thickness and weigh about 194 grams.

The Reno 10 Pro is likely to sport the same 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will feature a Dimensity 8200 SoC, a 4600mAh battery and offer 100W fast charging. There will be a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

The Reno 10, lastly, will feature a Snapdragon 778G SoC, a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with curved edges and a 4600mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The phone’s triple-camera setup is said to feature a 64MP OmniVision main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. For selfies, there will be a 32MP front camera. All three devices are likely to feature the company’s MariSilicon X NPU.

In addition to the above details, the Reno 10 series might run Android 13 out of the box and have ColorOS 13.1 on top.
