After launching the Reno and the Reno 10x Zoom in the Indian market, OPPO has started teasing the launch of new smartphones in the series on the 28th of August 2019. Recently, it was revealed that the OPPO Reno 2 with a quad-camera setup and 20x zoom will be introduced in India. As opposed to a common misbelief, the OPPO Reno 2 will not succeed the OPPO Reno 10x zoom. Instead, it will be placed below the Reno 10x zoom.
Now, we’ve received information from reliable sources that OPPO will launch not one but three new phones in the Reno series. We’ve also managed to get information regarding some of their specifications and pricing. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer will launch the OPPO Reno 2, OPPO Reno 2Z, and the OPPO Reno 2F. All these new phones will be equipped with quad-camera setups and sit below the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. The company will also launch five more A series phones with quad-camera setups, and they will be available just before the festive season.
OPPO Reno 2 Specifications, Features, Price In India
Priced somewhere in the sub-Rs 35,000 price segment, the OPPO Reno 2 might replace the OPPO Reno. It features a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with 20:9 aspect ratio, 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, an under-display fingerprint reader, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It could also be the first phone in India to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It will be available in at least one variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The phone will run Android 9.0 Pie based ColorOS 6.0.1. The company could also promise Android Q update to all new OPPO Reno series phones.
Its quad-camera setup consists of a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor with a wide-angle lens and F1.7 aperture, an 8MP camera with a 116-degree ultrawide-angle lens, a 13MP camera with 5x hybrid zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor with “special portrait modes.” The new phone will also come with Ultra Dark Mode, Portrait Mode 2.0, Ultra Steady Videos, 3D Audio Zoom, Real-Time Video Blur (Portrait Videos), and Hybrid Image Stabilization features. At the front, the phone will come with a 16MP Sharkfin camera with a softlight flash. The phone’s rear is covered under a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel for protection against scratches and drops. The phone will also feature 4000mAh battery and VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
OPPO Reno 2Z Specifications, Features, Price In India
The OPPO Reno 2Z will have a 6.53-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and an under-display fingerprint reader. It runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.1 and comes equipped with a MediaTek Helio P90 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The phone will be launched in the sub-Rs 25,000 price range.
It will have a quad-camera setup as well, but it will use a 48MP (Sony IMX586) primary camera with a wide-angle lens, an 8MP camera with a 119-degree ultrawide-angle lens, and two 2MP cameras that give the phone access to special portrait mode effects in both photos and videos. At the front, the phone will have a 16MP selfie camera with a motorized pop-up mechanism. The phone will be powered by a 4000mAh battery and have VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

While we don’t know complete specifications of the Reno 2F, we can confirm that it will have a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary camera (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1). It will most probably be launched in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment.
