OPPO launched the OPPO Reno 3 and OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphones in China back in December 2019. The brand unveiled its OPPO Reno 3 Pro smartphone (an LTE variant) globally last week, which comes with a dual punch-hole selfie camera and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P95 chipset. The device also comes with a 64MP primary sensor. The company is gearing up for the launch of its vanilla OPPO Reno 3 smartphone globally. As it turns out, the OPPO Reno 3 will be launched globally on March 16, 2020. The company recently posted a teaser video confirming its launch date. OPPO recently posted a teaser video for the OPPO Reno 3 smartphone on its official Facebook handle. The promotional video not only reveals the launch date of the OPPO Reno 3 (March 16), but it also showcases the Aurora Blue color variant of the device in all its glory. The OPPO Reno 3 global variant will also come with a waterdrop notch, which will make room for a 44MP selfie snapper. Furthermore, the OPPO Reno 3 will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Speaking of the display, the OPPO Reno 3 will feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution. The waterdrop notch will ensure that the OPPO Reno 3 will retain a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. The device will measure 160.2 x 73.3 x 8mm and will weigh in at 170 grams.
Moving around on the back of the device, the OPPO Reno 3 will feature a quadruple rear camera setup, which will comprise a 48MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP mono lens with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera of the OPPO Reno 3 will be vertically aligned and will be located in the top left corner of the device’s rear. To the right of the camera module, the OPPO Reno 3 will come with an LED flash.
Under the hood, the global OPPO Reno 3 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P90 processor, which will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. On the software side of things, the OPPO Reno 3 will run the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house ColorOS 7 skin baked on top of it. In the battery department, the OPPO Reno 3 will sport a 4,025mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
As far as the pricing is concerned, we are not sure as to what the pricing of the global variant of the OPPO Reno 3 would be, but it will come in three paint jobs – Sky White, Midnight Black, and Aurora Blue.
