Chinese smartphone giant OPPO had unveiled its Reno 4-series in China a while back and it now appears that the company will be launching the devices in India as well. OPPO India’s R&D head Tasleem Arif has said confirmed the news on his Twitter account and has said that the Reno 4 Pro is expected to come to India ‘soon’. He has, however, not provided with an exact date for the launch. We should get the same specs that the device has in the Chinese market.
OPPO Reno 4 Pro: Expected price and specifications
Since the device has already made an appearance in China we know what to expect from it. It is important to notice that Tasleem has only said that the Reno 4 Pro is arriving in India and not the regular Reno 4, although it can be expected that the latter will come to the country sometime later. The Reno 4 Pro has been priced in China starting at a price of CNY 3,799 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version which is about Rs 40,000. We can expect the pricing of the phone around the same, especially with the OnePlus Z around the corner.
The phone has a 6.5-inch 3D AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, a refresh rate of 90Hz and support for 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset which is 5G enabled. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the optics department, the device happens to house a triple-camera set up with the primary snapper being a 48MP camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13MP telephoto lens.
The entire setup is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that has a whopping 65W fast charging support. Connectivity options on the phone include, 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C charging port. Reno 4 Pro will run on Android 10-based ColorOS 7.0 skin which is proprietary to OPPO.
In China, the Reno 4-series will go on sale starting from June 12 onwards. We can expect that the Reno 4 Pro will be a launched in India soon after, possibly towards the end of this month. What do you think of the OPPO Reno 4 Pro coming to India? Let us know in the comments below.
