Oppo launched the Reno 5 series earlier this month in China. The Reno 5 series consists of Reno 5, and Reno 5 Pro smartphones. Now, the company has added another smartphone to the Reno5 lineup. The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G+ is the latest addition to the Reno 5 series. The smartphone packs top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, 50MP quad-rear camera setup, and 65W fast-charging support. The company has also launched a limited edition with a color-changing rear panel. This limited edition model is designed in collaboration with Joshua Vides, a Hing-Kong based artist. The device features a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a 90Hz refresh rate panel with a 180Hz sampling rate that can achieve 1100nits peak brightness. There is also an in-display optical fingerprint sensor on the device.


Under-the-hood, the device features the last-gen Qualcomm flagship SoC, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 built on a 7nm manufacturing process. While the Adreno 650 GPU handles all the graphic duties. The smartphone packs up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM along with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Reno 5 Pro+ 5G boots Android 11 based ColorOS 11.

Coming to the optics, the smartphone packs a 50MP quad-rear camera set up inside a rectangular camera module. The primary sensor on the device is a Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and EIS support. It gets accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119° field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 13MP telephoto on the device that supports up to 5x hybrid zoom, along with a 2MP macro sensor. For the selfies, the smartphone offers a 32MP front shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

All this gets powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W supper flash charger fast charging. For the data transfers and charging the device features a Type-C port.
