OPPO Reno 5 Pro, Reno 5 Pro Plus to Reportedly be Powered by Qualcomm’s Upcoming Snapdragon 860 SoC

OPPO recently unveiled its OPPO Reno 4 lineup of smartphones in China and in global markets as well. The OPPO Reno 4 series has made several redesigns and spec changes while traveling to different regions. That said, it can certainly not be called a series that has been there for quite some time, so hearing about the OPPO Reno 5 series already could come as a surprise to many, but what’s happened has happened. The leaks surrounding the OPPO Reno 5 series have already started popping up on the internet. Today, we have received a report, which suggests as to what processors the various devices in the Reno 5 series would come with. Let’s take a look.

OPPO Reno 5 series processors leaked way ahead of launch

The new report has popped up courtesy of a leakster on Weibo. As per the leak, there will be three devices in the OPPO Reno 5 series of smartphones – OPPO Reno 5, OPPO Reno 5 Pro, and OPPO Reno 5 Pro Plus. So, there will be an additional device this time around, which should not come as a surprise given that almost all the smartphone manufacturers have now been pushing a ‘Pro Plus’ or an ‘Ultra’ variant of their flagship devices on the market.

Coming to the processors, the OPPO Reno 5 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G processor. The OPPO Reno 5 Pro, on the other hand, will reportedly be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. Lastly, the OPPO Reno 5 Pro Plus will also run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, as per the leak. One should keep in mind that it is too early a time to confirm this leak, as the OPPO Reno 5 series might take a considerable period of time to launch. We, therefore, would suggest that our readers take this leak with a slight grain of salt for now.
