[Update] The leak around Oppo Reno8 design turns out to be fake as claimed by Digital Chat Station. As per OnePlus China President – Louis Li, the leaked render of the Reno8 is fake.
Original Story Follows…
Oppo, back in November, announced its Reno7 series smartphones in the Chinese market. The company usually follows 6 months launch cycle for the Reno series. This implies that the Oppo Reno8 series launch isn’t far from now. Now, in a new development, the design render and key specifications of an upcoming Oppo Reno8 series device have been leaked on Weibo, courtesy of Digital Chat Station.
The leaked render suggests that the design of the upcoming Oppo Reno8 series device will be heavily inspired by the OnePlus 10 Pro, which was launched earlier this year in China. The leaked render reveals that the Oppo Reno8 will offer a triple-rear camera setup and a flat display with a punch-hole notch. Take a look at the leaked render below.
Oppo Reno8 Render and Design
The camera module design of the upcoming Reno8 looks identical to that of the OnePlus 10 Pro. This means that we are looking at a triple-rear camera setup and a circular LED flash inside a huge module that extends to the right edge of the device. The upcoming Reno series handset also appears to have a laser autofocus module.
As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, the upcoming Reno8 series device is said to offer an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel is said to measure 6.55-inches diagonally and will carry a Full HD+ resolution. The device might offer a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as per the leak. The details including the functionality of the other two sensors remain unknown for now.
Apart from it, the leak doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming Reno8 series device. However, since we aren’t far from launch, we can expect to know more in terms of specifications as these devices show up on certification websites in the coming weeks.
