Oppo Reno 8 Pro vs OnePlus 10R vs Realme GT 2 Pro: Design

Oppo Reno 8 Pro design is a mix of new aesthetics and some familiar bits. The glass body gives it a premium touch, along with the metal frame on the sides, which gives it a solid grip and weighs under 185 grams, making it comfortable to use. The cameras at the back look giant, but that’s become the trend with most phones in this range.

OnePlus 10R goes for a boxy design with flat edges that has got mixed responses from the crowd. Unlike the Oppo Reno 8 Pro, the 10R uses a plastic panel at the back, which doesn’t look premium but is a lot more durable and less prone to fingerprints.

Realme GT 2 Pro wins this round for its innovative paper-like design of the back panel, which can be used to note down points if you don’t have a notepad around you. The texture of the panel concerned us, but it seems the quality keeps it lasting for a long time.

Realme GT 2 Pro sports a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display, which also gives you adaptive refresh rate. The peak brightness goes up to 1400 nits, the screen-to-body ratio is slightly lower than the other two phones, and the display gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for additional durability.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro vs OnePlus 10R vs Realme GT 2 Pro: Verdict

Oppo Reno 8 Pro scores with its design, performance and even the cameras do a fine job. And compared to the OnePlus 10R we could easily suggest going for the Reno 8 Pro, but that price tag leaves us in a spot, even if it has 12GB RAM on board. For the said price, you can get the 150W charging version of the OnePlus 10R, which uses the same hardware as the Reno 8 Pro but might fall short on the imaging front.

Realme GT 2 Pro is clearly the outlier here, but when you look at the whole package, especially those cameras, you might feel tempted to spend a few extra grand to get this device, even if you are only getting the 8GB RAM version for under Rs 50,000.
