Oppo is rumoured to refresh the Reno series soon. The company is rumoured to launch the Oppo Reno 8 series in China in May 2022. Oppo Reno 8 India Launch Timeline
Oppo will launch the Reno 8 series in India in June 2022 itself, according to tipster Mukul Sharma. The specs of the vanilla model have leaked as well. Sharma did not reveal the exact launch date. The Reno 8 series will launch in China in May 2022, according to reports. Therefore, we can expect the India launch event to be held in June. It is worth noting that there is no official confirmation regarding the launch of the Reno 8 series in India or China at the moment. Therefore, it is advised to take the leaked timeline with a pinch of salt.
It was previously reported that the Reno 8 will come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The new SoC will be based on a 4nm process and offer similar performance to Snapdragon 8 series. The chipset will be paired with an Adreno 662 GPU.
At the front, there will be a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen will sport a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The phone will also sport a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor.
Under the hood, Oppo will pack a 4500 mAh battery in the phone. The Reno 8 will get an upgraded 80W fast charging, which is faster than the 65W charging found on the Reno 7 series.
