OPPO Reno 9 series is set to launch later this week. The company has confirmed that the Reno 9 series will debut in China on November 24. OPPO is expected to launch at least three Reno 9 series phones. These include the Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro and Reno 9 Pro+ 5G. The company has started teasing the specifications and features of the Reno 9 series.
The latest teaser reveals the camera specifications of the Reno 9 series. OPPO confirmed that the Reno 9 series will get a new camera sensor on the back. The Reno 9 series will also feature the company’s custom NPU, which is mostly found in the more premium Find X-series flagship phones. Let’s take a look at the leaked and confirmed specifications of the OPPO Reno 9 series ahead of its launch.
OPPO Reno 9 Series Camera Specifications Confirmed
OPPO has confirmed that the Reno 9 series will feature a new 50MP main camera sensor. The primary camera will support optical image stabilisation (OIS). The rear camera setup will also feature the company’s MariSilicon X NPU, which is found in the Find X5 series. The NPU is aimed at improving the lowlight video recording and overall performance. The company did not reveal which Reno 9 series phone will get the custom NPU. As per the leaked design renders, the Reno 9 Pro+ and the Reno 9 Pro will feature OPPO’s custom NPU.
The company confirmed the front camera details as well. The Reno 9 series will feature a 32MP front camera. More details of the Reno 9 series should be confirmed soon. Meanwhile, the rumour mill has already listed the key metrics of the spec sheet. The Reno 9 Pro+ 5G, which will sit at the top of the lineup, will feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Reno 9 Pro 5G will get a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The vanilla Reno 9 will feature a 64MP main camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
Under the hood, the Reno 9 will feature a Snapdragon 778G SoC. The Reno 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ 5G will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max SoC and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, respectively.
The Reno 9 Pro+ 5G will pack a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging out of the box. The Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro will pack a 4500mAh battery and support fast charging out of the box.
The devices will also sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+, curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and 2160Hz PWM. More details of the Reno 9 series will be revealed at the event in China on November 24. The Reno 9 series could arrive in India in Q1 of 2023. OPPO is yet to confirm the India launch details of the phones.
