Update: Two new OPPO Remote Controllers have today been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which could very well belong to the upcoming OPPO TV. Below are the images for your reference:

Original story follows…

OPPO – which is mostly known as a leading manufacturer of smartphones, has been trying to position itself as a ‘smart devices’ brand for quite some time now. The company has, over the past few quarters, diversified into other segments like fitness bands, smartwatches, and wearable audio accessories. One area where the OPPO did not have a presence, however, was smart TVs. That might no longer be the case going forward, it seems. We have come across a certification document from China’s 3C (China Compulsory Certificate) that has references to a smart TV – quite possibly the first one to sport an OPPO logo.

Take a look at the certification document below.

OPPO Smart TV 3C certification

From the documentation, it is evident that the OPPO smart TV will sport a 55-inch display. There are as many as 10 different model numbers of the OPPO TV that the document refers too.

These are as follows:

A55U0B00, A55U0PB01, A55U0B02, A55U0B03, A55U0B04

A55U1B01, A55U1B01, A55U1B02, A55U1B03, A55U1B03

All these model numbers are closely related to each other and could possibly be different regional variants of the same model.

Another piece of information from the documentation is the fact that the TV will be manufactured for OPPO by the TPV Display Company (Xiamen).

While it would be the first time that OPPO will launch a smart TV, OPPO’s parent company is pretty experienced when it comes to making smart TVs. They already sell TVs in several markets under the OnePlus and Realme branding. The OnePlus TV, if you recall, was launched last year in India and is touted as a premium smart TV brand. Realme followed OnePlus’ path earlier this year and came up with the much more affordable lineup of Realme smart TVs. With OPPO, the plan probably is to capture another untapped section of India’s burgeoning smart TV space.

It is still too early to comment on a possible launch date for the OPPO Smart TV. The announcement and official launch should happen in the next few months.
