Oppo launched the Reno 7 series in China on November 25. The company unveiled three new smartphones, one of which is the Reno 7 SE. The entry-level Reno 7 series smartphone features an AMOLED display and a Dimensity 900 SoC. It looks like Oppo is working on a smartphone that features a slightly more powerful version of the Dimensity 900, the Dimensity 920.
The name of this upcoming Oppo smartphone remains unknown. However, some of the key details of the device have been tipped. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Oppo smartphone rumoured to launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC.
Oppo smartphone specifications leaked
The official moniker of the upcoming Oppo smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor remains unknown at the moment. However, the specs of this device have leaked. A tipster on Weibo (via GizmoChina) claimed that upcoming Oppo smartphone mentioned above will be priced around CNY 2,000 (roughly Rs 23,400) for the base 8GB + 128GB model. The 256GB variant is likely to launch for CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 26,900).
The tipster has also listed down some of the key specs. It will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display made by Samsung, which will have a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The screen will also support a 90Hz refresh rate and have a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is also likely to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Dimensity 920 SoC will be accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It will pack a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging. The tipster has also leaked the camera specs of the Oppo device. It will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary sensor, along with a Sony IMX355 ultrawide shooter and a macro camera with a 4cm focal length. The device will come with a 16MP Sony IMX471 front camera sensor for selfies and video calls. There is no word on the launch date. However, the device is expected to launch in the coming days.
