
Oppo has launched a new smartwatch in China. The Oppo Watch 2 comes as a successor to the original Watch, which was launched last year in India. It comes with a bunch of new upgrades over the outgoing model. Currently, the smartwatch is available only in China. There is no word on international availability at the moment. We can expect Oppo to bring its smartwatch to India in the coming months. The wearable draws power from an upgraded Snapdragon 4100 SoC under the hood. Oppo Watch 2 launched
Oppo has launched the Watch 2 in China. The new smartwatch comes with a faster chip and many new health, fitness features. The new Oppo smartwatch comes in two sizes – 42mm and 46mm. The 42mm comes in Bluetooth-only and e-SIM models.
The Bluetooth-only 42mm model is priced at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 14,900), whereas the eSIM variant is priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs 17,100. The 46mm model is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 22,900). It comes in Black and Blue colour options.
Specs and features
As mentioned above, the watch comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes. It features a curved AMOLED display and has the power and function keys on the right edge. The wearable draws power from a Snapdragon 4100 SoC and also features a custom Apollo 4s co-processor. It comes with an Ultra Dynamic Dual Engine (UDDE) technology that claims to offer better battery life.
The smartwatch supports 24-hour heart rate tracking, SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracking and analysis, risk assessment, stress monitoring, etc. it runs ColorOS for Watch based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartwatch is claimed to offer up to 16 days of battery life on a single charge. It supports VOOC 2.0 fast charging that can offer up to a day’s worth of charge in 10 minutes.
