
OPPO has launched a new smartwatch in China today along with the launch of the OPPO Find N3 Flip smartphone. The Watch 4 Pro is a flagship model and it comes with top-of-the-line specs and features to compete against the best-in-class smartwatches such as the Apple Watch Series 8, Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series, Google Pixel Watch, and more.
The latest flagship smartwatch from OPPO comes with a square dial and features a curved design. In terms of hardware, the watch comes with Qualcomm’s dedicated wearable chipset, the Snapdragon W5. The device’s availability outside of China is yet to be confirmed. But, the company has revealed the pricing, specifications, features and all the other details of the device. OPPO Watch 4 Pro: Price and Availability
The OPPO Watch 4 Pro starts at CNY 2299 (~Rs 26,100) for the strap variant and the leather variant starts at CNY 2499 (~Rs 28,400). The watch will come in Polar Night Black (silicone) and Dawn Brown (leather) colour options. OPPO is also offering multiple strap options.
The device is already up for pre-order in China and the open sale starts on September 8, 2023. OPPO is offering a CNY 100 discount for those who pre-order the watch.
OPPO Watch 4 Pro: Specifications and Features
Starting off with the screen, the OPPO Watch 4 Pro features a large 1.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 378 x 496-pixel resolution. The screen has a 326ppi pixel density and is covered by 3D glass on the front. The wearable comes with a square dial and features a micro-arc curved design with a diamond texture and a stainless steel case. The wearable comes with a rotating crown as well as another button.
Under the hood, the OPPO watch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset and Hengxuan 2700 secondary SoC, which is rated to offer up to 2 weeks of battery life with a 570mAh built-in battery. There is also support for fast charging 一 a quick 10-minute charge is rated to last one whole day. The watch features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
In terms of connectivity options, the watch features Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi support. As for the sensors, the watch comes with plenty of options including the acceleration sensor, gyro, geo, SpO2, optical heart rate monitor, ECG, ambient light sensor, and wrist temperature sensor.
Further, in the fitness department, the watch is said to offer over 100 sports modes and there is also a new 60-second fitness test. Other features include built-in GPS, 5ATM water resistance rating, stress monitor, sleep tracker, and 80+ app support. Surprisingly, the software details are not mentioned and there is no confirmation if the device is running on Wear OS or OPPO’s skin.
