The Fujifilm GFX100S II is equipped with the GFX 102MP CMOS II large format sensor. The sensor has a diagonal length of 55mm making it 1.7 times larger than a 35mm format sensor. It is paired with the X-Processor 5 to capture colours closer to reality. The camera supports ISO 80 sensitivity enabling greater dynamic range. It also has 20 built-in film simulation modes to capture a diverse range of colour profiles, similar to a physical photo film.
The GFX100S II has the Pixel Shift Multi-Shot feature that controls in-body image stabilization using sensor shift. It can move the sensor at 0.5 pixels, to eliminate even the slightest movements and capture sharp images. The camera can also combine 16 RAW files using Pixel Shift Combiner to generate images with over 400 million pixels.
The new Fujifilm GFX100S II also features high-speed and high-precision autofocus. It is equipped with AI and deep learning to identify animals, birds, cars, aeroplanes, and other objects. The camera also uses a predictive algorithm to capture fast-moving objects. It can capture up to 7.0 frames per second.
Video recording is supported up to 4K 30fps. The camera supports 10-bit colour. It can also record in Apple ProRes by connecting an external SSD using USB-C. The GFX100S II comes with F-Log2, which offers a wide dynamic range of 13 stops. It can also output live video feeds using HDMI.
The body of the camera has a BISHAMON-TEX texture that provides a good grip to the user. The Fujifilm GFX100S II weighs just 883 grams, making it the lightest camera in the GFX Series.
