Sonos, one of the top audio products makers from America first introduced the Sonos Move. The Sonos Move was launched in 2019 as the company’s first-ever battery-operated(wireless) speaker. The portable speaker offered excellent audio quality, good connectivity, and Google Assistant and Alexa support. However, the speaker was pricey and offered average battery life as compared to the rivals.
After four years, now, the company will launch the successor to its first portable speaker. The upcoming device from Sonos will be called Sonos Move 2 and it is expected to launch in September. Earlier this month, The Verge shared the first image of the upcoming speaker and now, MySmartPrice has received more images and marketing renders of the Move 2 portable speaker. Let’s take a look at all the details below.
Sonos Move 2 Images Leaked
Starting off with the design, the first thing one can notice is the new colour option. The upcoming Sonos Move 2 will come in a Green colour option as compared to the Black colour option of the last gen. This new colour option is likely to be an additional option as we are expecting the brand to offer a Black variant as well.
In terms of design, the Sonos Move 2 will come with slightly tweaked controls although the overall design of the speaker will remain similar to the first gen. The major change here will be the presence of the dedicated volume slider 一 which is also part of Sonos speakers such as Sonos Era 300. Apart from that, the speaker will come with mics on the top along with an LED indicator. The top will also hold the buttons for play/pause and skip tracks.
Like the last generation device, the Move 2 is also expected to come with support for voice assistant support with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa integration. To the back of the speaker, we can see the power button, Bluetooth button, mic switch, and also a USB Type-C port. The speaker is likely to come with a replaceable battery as well. The Sonos is present on the front mesh, as you can see from the images. From the marketing images, it looks like the company is again aiming to play a big role as a home speaker as well as an outdoor speaker. More details including the price, availability, and features will be revealed once the device is launched in the coming weeks.
