Not So Merry Christmas  

This Mexican movie has been directed by Mark Alazraki and is the official Mexican version of Groundhog Day (1993). The movie has a fair number of dances and Christmas carols but progressively gets deflated, consumed by the Christmas Spirit. The story follows Chuy, a grumpy, self-centered individual, married with two kids. He has reached his midlife. This year, he relives Christmas day after day in a scary space-time glitch till he starts appreciating the festive season. Full of mystery and surprises, this movie is a must-watch.

This Hindi-language fantasy comedy-drama is the directorial venture of Indra Kumar, and is the official remake of the 2009 Danish movie Sorte Kugler (What goes around comes around). Released during Diwali, it got mixed reviews from critics and didn’t do well commercially. Now it is all set to release on OTT. This movie is a comedy. It revolves around Emily, an American Mid-Western woman who is a social media strategist and lands her dream job at Savoir and relocates to the City of Lights to pursue her career. She lands in the middle of a culture clash and tries to adjust to her new life while juggling her career, friendships, and romance.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, an American political action thriller TV series, is based on characters from the fictional “Ryanverse” created by Tom Clancy. Graham Roland and Carlton Cuse have created this show, with the latter serving as executive producers together with Michael Bay, Mace Neufeld, and John Krasinski, amongst others. In February 2019, Amazon renewed the show for a 3rd season, which is all set to release on 21st December 2022. The story follows up-and-coming CIA Analyst Jack Ryan who gets thrown into a dangerous field assignment after solving a pattern in terrorist communication, putting him in the centre of a perilous gambit.

This Japanese science-fiction thriller drama streaming TV series is based on the manga by the same name. The story revolves around two allies trapped in an abandoned Tokyo, where they are forced to take part in dangerous games, the type and difficulty levels of which are calculated by playing cards. In this movie, we are introduced to ASI archeologist Dr. Aryan Kulshreshtra, a non-believer who doesn’t buy the story that Ram Setu is a man-made structure, and questions the historical validity of the Ramayana. A businessman asks Dr. Aryan to prove that the Ram Setu is a natural phenomenon. The doctor’s scientific research shows that the structure is man-made, and Rama, the historical figure, existed. To gather more evidence about Rama’s existence, Aryan goes to Sri Lanka, with the help of Dr. Sandra, an environmentalist, and a local Lankan guide. What occurs next forms the plot of the movie.

TVF Pitchers Season 2 

The story deals with four friends, Naveen Bansal, Jitendra Maheshwari, Yogendra Kumar, and Saurabh Mandal, who make a splash in the business world by launching their own start-up company. Naveen loses his cool for not being assigned a project from his office, gets drunk, and resigns. He is offered a position in a branch office in Beijing, but as he reaches the airport for departure, he realizes he isn’t cut out for routine jobs. He gets news of his second plan after reaching the finals of the start-up conclave by NASSCOM. The four friends then search for what they want in life and face issues in getting their start-up off the ground. The second season will see the friends reprise their roles, except this time, Jitendra will not be there.

Declan de Barra has created this upcoming fantasy miniseries, and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, and has been adapted from the Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season will consist of four episodes. this show is set 1200 years before the events of The Witcher television series and will depict the creation of the first witcher, together with the events leading to the “Conjunction of the Spheres.” It will also explore the old Elven civilization before its demise.
