Fans of Greek gods and demigods are in for a treat. Disney is bringing a show with the demigods and their stories on its digital platform. Six fantasy books in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series were published by Rick Riordan between 2005 and 2023.

The series features Greek gods and is set in the twenty-first century. The Lightning Thief, the first book in the series, was made into a movie in 2010, which came after the book’s conclusion.

The 2013 release of a sequel, Sea of Monsters, was met with mixed reviews from critics, and viewers alike.  Thankfully, we now get a second chance to see this epic book series on our screens—this time as a TV series!

According to the latest information, the show will start streaming from December 20 onwards. It is also informed that only two episodes will drop on release day, and then weekly episodes will follow. Viewers will need to subscribe to the streaming service of Disney+ Hotstar to watch the show.

The fanciful tale of a 12-year-old demigod who has discovered his newfound divine abilities is told in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Zeus, the sky god, has accused him of stealing his master’s lightning bolt.

In an effort to locate it and put Olympus back in order, Percy enlists the aid of his friends Grover and Annabeth. The teaser for the new Disney+ original series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” was premiered on Tuesday.

The trip that Percy (Walker Scobell) and his team will undertake to retrieve the Master Bolt after it has been stolen is revealed in the teaser. Although the series won’t air until December, Disney+ is working on it to prepare its audience for the big day.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri make up the series’ main cast. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Megan Mullally, Jay Duplass, Glynn Turman, Toby Stephens, Virginia Kull, Jason Mantzoukas, Dior Goodjohn, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Olivea Morton, the late Lance Reddick, Adam Copeland, Charlie Bushnell, Suzanne Cryer, Timm Sharp, and Timothy Omundson are among the other guest appearances.

The teaser of the show was released two days ago and has garnered 3,398,106 views, showing the anticipation and the hype the show has created among the audience.
