OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the OnePlus 9 series. Ahead of the launch, the company has started dropping teasers that reveal the key OnePlus 9 specifications and features. The latest teaser comes from OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. He has uploaded an image shot using the ultrawide camera on the OnePlus 9 series. Lau claims that the OnePlus 9 series’ ultrawide camera will come with improved imaging capabilities. Unlike conventional ultrawide sensors, the OnePlus 9 series ultrawide camera will click distortion-free images. Lau, yesterday, confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will use the Sony IMX766 sensor. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau claims OnePlus 9 Pro’s ultrawide camera will click distortion-free ultrawide images
OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 9 series in India on March 23. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has uploaded an image shot using the OnePlus 9 series’ ultrawide camera.
The image uploaded by Lau shows that the ultrawide image shot on the OnePlus 9 series I free of distortion. This is unlike conventional smartphone ultrawide cameras where we see barrel distortion around the edges.
Lau recently confirmed that the flagship smartphone series will come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultrawide sensor. This Sony IMX766 sensor will accompany the Sony IMX789 sensor. The OnePlus 9 Pro will come with a quad-camera setup on the back.
Leaked camera specifications suggests that the device will come with a 48MP primary camera, a 50MP camera, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The company has partnered with Hasselblad for co-developing the camera on its flagship devices. The OnePlus 9 series will come with a Hasselblad Pro Mode. It will offer more controls to the user to fine-tune images, with the ability to adjust ISO, focus, exposure times, white balance and more.
The upcoming 9 series is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
