The Google Pixel 6a has been launched in India today. Notably, the company has launched a new Pixel device in India after about two years. The Google Pixel 6a was announced at the Google IO 2022, but the device will be up for pre-order starting today only in select markets, including the US, UK and more countries.
The Google Pixel 6a is the successor to the Pixel 5a from last year, which unfortunately was not launched in India. The Pixel 6a is the first device to launch in India after the Pixel 4a from 2020. The new Google Pixel 6a’s key selling feature is the Tensor processor, which is developed by Google. Google Pixel 6a: Price in India
The Google Pixel 6a comes in a single RAM and storage combo in India with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Pixel 6a is priced at Rs 43,999 in India and it comes in Charcoal(Black) and Chalk(White) colours. Unfortunately, Google isn’t bringing the Sage(Green) colour option in India for now. The phone will be available from July 28th in India and the pre-orders are now open on Flipkart.

Google Pixel 6a: Specifications and Features
The Google Pixel 6a sports a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device comes with a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the Pixel 6a is powered by the same Tensor chip as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. This is coupled with the Titan M2 security co-processor. The Pixel 6a comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The phone sports a 12.2MP main camera with ƒ/1.7 aperture and a 12MP ƒ/2.2 ultrawide camera. There is also OIS and EIS support onboard. It has an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
Further, the Google Pixel 6a is backed by a 4,410mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging out of the box. However, the box won’t come with the charging adapter. The Pixel phone runs on Android 12 and will get three major Android updates and five years of security updates.
