A day ahead of the Apple event where the iPhone 14 launch is set to take place, Google confirmed the Pixel 7 launch date. The search engine giant confirmed that the Google Pixel 7 series will be officially launched on October 6. The Made by Google event will also include the launch of the Pixel Watch and the new Pixel Buds.

The company had teased its new Pixel smartphones at the Google I/O 2022 event earlier this year. It also teased the launch of its new Pixel Watch without diving much into the details. The latest teaser shows all four Google products launching on October 6.

The Pixel lineup will include two new flagship smartphones. They are the Google Pixel 7 and the 7 Pro. There will also be the round Pixel Watch. The screen of the Pixel Watch is curved and blends into the frame. The watch also has a crown button on the right edge, similar to what we see on the Apple Watch.

The new Pixel Buds will come with an in-ear design without any stem. There are silicone ear tips for better grip and noise isolation. We can also expect the upcoming Pixel Buds to come with support for Google Assistant and other smart features.

The highlight of the Made by Google event will be the new Pixel phones, which were teased earlier this year. Google revealed the design and confirmed that the Pixel 7 lineup will look fairly similar to their respective predecessors.

Google Pixel 7 Series Specifications

The teasers confirm that the Pixel 7 models will feature a horizontal strip across the rear panel for the camera setup. The standard 7 will have a dual-camera setup, whereas the 7 Pro will have a triple-camera setup. According to the rumour mill, the phones will feature a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Pro model will feature an additional 48MP telephoto camera.

Both phones will feature Google’s new Tensor second-gen chip along with up to 12GB of RAM. There will be a 5000 mAh battery in the Pro model, whereas the standard variant could feature a 4500 mAh or a 4600 mAh battery. Both devices are expected to support 33W fast charging.

The vanilla model will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the 7 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Lastly, the new Pixel smartphones will run Android 13 out of the box.
