In its latest tweet, Google has confirmed the Pixel 7a India launch date and availability. According to the social media teaser from the brand, the Pixel 7a will be launched in India on May 11. As is customary with Pixel smartphones, the 7a will also be available on Flipkart. Notably, Google is slated to announce its latest affordable Pixel series device at the Google I/0 2023, to be held on May 10. As mentioned before, Google has confirmed the launch date of its next-generation Pixel 7a smartphone in India to be May 11. Google is also sticking to Flipkart as its retailer in India, according to a tweet posted from its @GoogleIndia Twitter handle. The tweet also gives us a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone’s back panel and camera module. We can see the same visor-like camera module with a dual camera setup in the image. Apart from these, the Mountain View giant has revealed no other details.
Pixel 7a Specifications and Features (Rumoured)
According to a recent Geekbench listing, the Pixel 7a will reportedly feature the Tensor G2 SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 2.85GHz. The processor flaunts two cores clocked at 2.35GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz. As for the graphics, there’s a Mali-G710 GPU. The Geekbench listing revealed that the phone might come with 8GB RAM, and usually, Google launches the A-series devices in a single variant. It’s expected to offer 128GB storage. The listing also confirms Android 13 is pre-installed on the handset out of the box.
MySmartPrice exclusively reported Pixel 7a design renders and marketing materials. The smartphone will be available in White, Grey, Blue, and Coral colourways. Per the leaked marketing material, the handset will flaunt a 6.1-inch OLED display featuring an adaptive 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. A Titan M2 security chip will also accompany the Tensor G2 SoC.
In the optics department, the Pixel 7a will feature a 64MP dual-camera setup on the back with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor backing the primary lens. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera. The smartphone will weigh about 193.5 grams and measure 152 x 72.9 x 9.0mm.
