The Google Pixel 7a was unveiled last night at Google IO 2023 developer conference keynote. Following the announcement, Google also revealed the Indian price and announced launch offers.

Google’s latest mid-range phone device has created a lot of buzz on social media platforms over the past few days, and now that we have all confirmed details, including specs, features, pricing, and availability, here are the top 5 things you need to know about the newly launched Google Pixel 7a. 1. Specifications Upgrade

Compared to the last-gen device, the Pixel 6a, the Pixel 7a has been upgraded in most departments, including display, performance, RAM, camera, and charging. In the display department, the Pixel 7a now packs a high refresh rate screen that can go up to 90Hz. This is also the first A-series device to feature the same.

Furthermore, the big performance comes from a new Tensor chipset. The Pixel 7a is backed by the in-house Tensor G2 SoC, integrated with advanced machine learning and speech recognition, and Google’s AI for improved call quality, battery life, and photo and video quality. As for more improvements, the Pixel 7a also gets support for wireless charging (5W), and since the device supports it, the back is now made up of Glass. 2. Primary Camera Gets a Major Refresh

One of Pixel’s USPs has been its camera over the past few years. And, starting with Pixel 6 series and Tensor chipset, Google has taken photography to the next level. While Google’s flagship Pixel always gets the better features and camera hardware, Google has always kept things relatively simple with the A-series. However, this year, Google has done a significant refresh.

The Pixel 7a now has a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens. The phone also supports up to 8x SuperRes zoom, and there are many features like magic eraser, night sight, long exposure, real tone, guided frame, and photo unblur 一 all of which set the device apart from the rest in the segment. The 64MP sensor is also the highest megapixel count on any Pixel smartphone. The Selfie camera is also upgraded compared to the last iteration. In addition, the 7a now flaunts a 13MP sensor.

In India, the Google Pixel 7a is priced at Rs 43,999, the same as the Pixel 6a‘s launch price. The phone will be available in three colour options 一 Charcoal (Black), Sea (Blue), and Snow (White). In terms of availability, the device is now available for purchase via Flipkart.
