PlayStation Plus Monthly Games Leaked Ahead of Official Announcement: Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Biomutant, Divine Knockout

The games will likely be available to download from December 6 to January 3.

The PlayStation Plus Essential Monthly Games lineup for December 2022 may have just leaked and it looks pretty good. The leak comes through Dealabs, which has so far been one of the most reliable sources for PS Plus game news. The lineup for December includes Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (PS4), Biomutant (PS4/PS5), and Divine Knockout (PS5/PS4).

So it looks like we’ve got 3 games playable on the PS4 and 2 of them have been optimized for PS5 with improved performance, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, although a PS4 game, contains performance improvements for all 3 games in the trilogy and can run a stable 60 FPS on PS5 by toggling the Performance Mode from the settings.

Biomutant was one of the most exciting PS5 launch titles and received generally favorable reviews when it launched back in 2021. Divine Knockout is a fun brawler with a unique 3rd person perspective, which brings another layer of engagement to the standard 2D brawler formula a la Smash Bros.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for December 2022 Will Probably be Available from 6 December

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is one of the best collections in gaming currently available as it packs all 3 games in the trilogy. The game’s unique RPG storytelling puts a lot of emphasis on choices and critical decision-making, and each choice made has ripple effects across the entire trilogy. This means that players will be able to see the results of their action from one game flow into the other 2.

Playing through the trilogy in the Legendary Edition is the definitive way to experience the story of Mass Effect, which is a barn-stormer. While the original Mass Effect hasn’t aged all that well in terms of gameplay, the gripping narrative does enough of the heavy lifting to make the experience an enjoyable one. Mass Effect 2 improves upon the original in every area and delivers a masterful RPG experience the likes of which haven’t been seen since. The last game in the trilogy ties everything up and provides a rather satisfying conclusion, despite inconsistencies.

Biomutant is one of the most creative games currently available on the platform and even though it wasn’t nearly as popular as some of the other games from the year – it remains a curious title fans will want to check out. Divine Knockout looks like a pretty fun time and a solid party game with friends.

All 3 games will likely be available for download from December 6. Right now, players can head to the PlayStation Plus section to grab the monthly games for November, which are:

  • Nioh 2
  • LEGO Harry Potter Collection
  • Heavenly Bodies

These games will be available to download until December 6. Once added to your library, the games will remain there as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus Essential (or higher) subscription.
