SIE has finally confirmed a February 22, 2023 launch date for the PlayStation VR2, and preorders for the same go up in only a couple of weeks. The PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station will also launch on the same day with preorders set to go live on November 15, 2022. The PS VR2 is one of the most exciting pieces of gaming tech headed for release next year and given the kind of advancements Sony has announced thus far, it looks like it could go toe-to-toe with market leaders such as MetaQuest and HTC.

The PS VR 2 is only compatible with the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. This means players will require a console in order to use the headset.

PlayStation VR2 will be available for $549.99 USD in the US, and the package includes the PS VR 2 headset, PS VR2 Sense Controllers, and stereo headphones. The regional pricing for the headset is yet to be revealed for India but it stands to reason it is likely to cost somewhere in the Rs 60,000 range.
