POCO has confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in India. The company will launch the POCO C50 soon in India. The device will launch as a successor to the POCO C31, which was launched last year in India. Oddly, the POCO C40, which was launched in global markets, did not launch in India. The C50 is confirmed to launch in India in November. However, the launch date has not been announced yet.

POCO did reveal though that the phone will launch during the last week of November 2022. The device is claimed to be an overall package and is said to “deliver stellar camera performance, immersive multimedia experience, long battery life with a sleek design and much more.” Let’s take a look at more details about the POCO C50 ahead of its India launch.

POCO C50 Coming Soon to India

The POCO C50 will launch as a new entry-level smartphone offering from the Xiaomi spin-off brand. The device’s launch date is unknown. Ahead of its launch slated to take place during the last week of November, POCO revealed that the phone will offer an all-round experience at a budget price.

The company did not reveal the design or any other specifications of the phone. However, it was recently spotted on the Google Play Console, IMEI database and a few other certification websites. The listing on the Google Play Console website revealed that the C50 could be a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+, which was launched earlier this year in India. The C50 was listed on the Google Play Supported Devices list with the codename snow. To those unaware, the Redmi A1+ also has the codename, which suggests that the upcoming C50 might be a rebranded version of the budget Redmi phone.

The device was also spotted on the IMEI database with the model number 220733SPI. Its Geekbench listing revealed that the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is also found in the Redmi A1+.

If the phone is indeed a rebadged Redmi A1+, it is likely to sport a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery and offer 10W charging support. It will also sport a dual-camera setup on the back. The device is likely to feature an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone is also likely to run Android 12 Go Edition out of the box. We can expect POCO to launch the phone with 64GB of internal storage. There will be an option to expand the memory via a microSD card slot. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
