POCO C50 Spotted on Google Play Supported Devices List, Suggests a Rebranded Redmi A1+

POCO, a few months ago, launched the POCO C40 smartphone in the global markets. The company decided to not launch the POCO C40 in the Indian market. POCO India now appears to be prepping up for the launch of a new POCO C series smartphone – the POCO C50. We have spotted the upcoming POCO C50 Indian variant with model number 220733SPI and codename snow on Google Play Supported Devices List. Appearance on the Google Play Supported Devices List hints towards an imminent launch.

The POCO C50 was previously spotted on the IMEI database with the same model number. Based on the codename, it appears to be a rebranded Redmi A1+ which was launched earlier today in India.

The POCO C50 made an appearance on the Google Play Supported Devices list with the codename snow. To those unaware, the Redmi A1+ also has the codename snow which hints that the upcoming POCO C50 might be a rebranded Redmi A1+. Let us take a look at the Redmi A1+ specifications and features.

The Redmi A1+ features a 6.52-inch HD+ display panel with 400nits peak brightness and a waterdrop notch. Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio A22 processor that brings with it an IMG PowerVR GPU. The handset comes pre-loaded with Android 12 Go Edition.

The Redmi A1+ comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It offers an 8MP rear shooter along with a depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 5MP shooter at the front. The handset features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Redmi A1+ also offers a dedicated micro-SD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi A1+ features a leather texture design which we have seen on the POCO C40 as well. So, we can expect the POCO C50 to feature the same faux leather design as well.
