The C50 is already confirmed to be available via Flipkart but the launch date has not been announced officially at the moment. The phone is rumoured to launch in India on January 3. Meanwhile, the Indian variant of the C50 has been spotted on Geekbench.

The listing confirms some key specifications of the upcoming POCO smartphone. Let’s take a look at the POCO C50 specifications, features and other details known so far.

POCO C50 Geekbench

The POCO C50 will be the third smartphone in the company’s C-series lineup in India. It has been spotted on Geekbench ahead of the launch. The listing reveals that the India variant of the C50 has the model number 220733SPI. According to the Geekbench website, the phone draws power from a MediaTek MT6761V SoC, which is essentially the Helio A22 SoC. The entry-level quad-core SoC has a peak clock speed of 2.0GHz.

POCO will launch the phone with 3GB of RAM at least. The phone is expected to come with 32GB and 64GB storage options. The listing also confirms that the device will launch in India with Android 12 out of the box. It might have a layer of MIUI 13 for POCO or run stock Android. In addition to this, the listing reveals that the POCO smartphone scored 140 and 504 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The listing pretty much suggests that the POCO smartphone is a rebadged Redmi A1+, which was launched last year in India.

If true, the phone will feature a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. There will be a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. The screen will also refresh at a standard 60Hz refresh rate. On the back, there could be a dual-camera setup with an 8MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The device is also likely to come with a 5MP front camera.

The POCO C50 might pack a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. For biometrics, the phone will come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device could be priced under Rs 8,000 in India.
