POCO has launched its first smartphone of 2023. The company has unveiled the POCO C50 in India. The device has been launched as a successor to the POCO C40. However, in India, the phone succeeds the C31 4G. The C50 is a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+, which was launched last year in India. 

The POCO C50 has been launched with two colour options in India. The phone has a leather-like finish on the back. It also comes with a dual-camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Let’s take a look at the POCO C50 price in India, specifications and other details.

POCO C50 Price in India and Specifications

POCO has launched the C50 as its new budget smartphone. The phone will be available for purchase in two storage configurations. The base model offers 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This variant is priced at Rs 6,499. There is also a 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of internal storage, which is priced at Rs 7,299.

As part of the launch offers, the C50 will have an introductory price of Rs 6,249 for the base model, whereas the 3GB RAM variant can be bought for Rs 6,999.

The device will be available for purchase via Flipkart from January 10. It has been launched in Royal Blue and Country Green colours.

In terms of hardware, the C50 has a plastic frame and body. The rear panel has a leather-like finish to offer a premium feel. The phone’s rear panel also features a fingerprint scanner. There is a squircle-shaped camera module on the back, which houses a dual-camera setup. The pill-shaped cutout within the camera module has an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone also features a 5MP front camera inside the waterdrop notch on top. There is a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. Since the phone is an entry-level offering, it gets the standard 60Hz refresh rate support along with a 120Hz touch sampling rate.

The C50 draws power from a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, which is among the most entry-level chipsets from the company. While there is only 32GB of internal storage, the phone supports storage expansion up to 512GB via a microSD card.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging via a standard micro-USB port. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a single speaker setup, support for Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, etc. The phone runs on Android 12 (Go Edition) out of the box. It weighs about 192 grams and measures 164.9 x 76.45 x 9.09mm.
