POCO C55 and POCO X5 GT Listed on TKDN Certification Website in Indonesia, Could be Announced Soon

Two new smartphones from Poco has cleared certification from Indonesia's TKDN website.

A few days ago, a new smartphone from Poco, i.e., Poco X5 GT, was listed in BIS certification, indicating that the Indian launch is nearing. It is the first smartphone from Poco to launch under the X GT series in India. Previously, the brand had launched Poco X3 GT and Poco X5 GT in international markets, but they didn’t make their way to India. The upcoming X5 GT smartphones would be an upgrade over the recently launched Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro. The forthcoming X5 GT, along with another budget Poco C55 smartphone, has received the TKDN certification indicating its Indonesian launch is nearing.

TKDN Certification of Upcoming Smartphones

As mentioned, the forthcoming POCO C55 and the POCO X5 GT smartphones have been listed on TKDN certification websites, revealing the model numbers. The TKDN certification shows that the Poco C55 will have model number 22127PC95G. The listing reveals that it will have 4G connectivity.


Poco C55

The smartphone was previously listed in Singapore’s IMDA certification with the same model number. The device is expected to be a rebranded Redmi 12C smartphone launched in China. The C55 smartphone will launch in markets including India as a successor to the Poco C50 device. 

Poco X5 GT

In contrast, the POCO X5 GT has been listed with the model number 23049PCD8G. The listing also reveals that it will sport 5G connectivity. The smartphone has listed in Indian BIS with the same model number. Poco will likely rebrand the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone for the international markets.

Poco C55 Specifications (Expected)

Since the smartphone is based on Redmi 12C, it will likely sport a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS display with an HD+ resolution, i.e., 1650×720 pixels. Underneath, it will feature MediaTek Helio G85 pairs with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The global variant will sport NFC connectivity, and the Indian variant will lack it.

It has a rear-camera setup comprising of 50MP primary sensor and a 0.8MP depth camera. The 5MP selfie sensor is housed inside the dew drop notch in the display. A 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support backs the device. 

Poco X5 GT Specifications (Expected)

The X5 GT smartphone would feature a 6.67 inches OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Underneath, it could sport the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor. The chipset would pair up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

On the optics side, it is expected to sport a similar camera setup to Redmi Note 12 Pro. The setup would consist of a 50MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The display would have a punch hole to house the 16MP sensor. A large 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support would back the smartphone.
