Xiaomi recently announced that its Poco sub-brand would henceforth work as a separate entity, and the second generation of Poco smartphone(s) is in the works. While we are not sure as to when that would happen, it is certainly good news for the existing Poco users as the only device in the lineup; the Poco F1 has now started receiving the latest Android 10 update. The update brings about the latest January security patch alongside all the Android 10 goodness. Let’s have a look at what all the latest Android 10-based MIUI update for the Poco F1 devices has in store for us.

Poco F1 Starts Receiving Android 10-Based MIUI 11 Update

While the company has not released an official statement on the update (yet), a big bunch of Poco F1 users has started receiving the update already. The new update comes with the build number¬†11.0.4.0QEJMIXM and weighs in at 1.9GB, so you would definitely need an unmetered data connection in order to download it. Furthermore, it is always a good idea to take a backup of your sensitive data before hitting the update button. The update seems to be rolling out in a phased fashion, and in case you have not been notified on the same, you can check it out by hitting the device’s setting menu and tapping on the ‘Check for Updates’ button.

As far as the changelog is concerned, the update comes with the latest January security patch, small fixes to the notification shade, Game Turbo feature, and scrolling screenshots. Plus, it takes the Poco F1 to the latest Android 10. Just in case you are unaware, the Poco F1 was launched back in 2018 when it came with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It is commendable to see that the device has received its second major OS update. The hardware the Poco F1 comes with makes it all possible. It comes as no surprise to anyone that the Poco F2 (or whatever the upcoming Poco smartphone would be named as) has been anticipated for quite a while now.
