POCO F1 MIUI 12 update begins rolling out in India, here’s the full changelog

POCO F1 has finally started receiving MIUI update in India with the September Android security patch.


Xiaomi announced MIUI 12 Global for India a couple of months back. The company rolled out MIUI 12 for several smartphones but POCO F1 MIUI 12 update was a long-awaited one. POCO F1 is the third POCO device after the POCO X2 and POCO M2 Pro to get MIUI 12 Stable update in India. As per various users on Twitter and other social media platforms, POCO F1 has finally started receiving Android 10 based MIUI 12 stable update in India. The update comes as MIUI, weighs just 790MBs in size and brings the latest September Android security patch along with new features.

MIUI 12 brings several new features and changes along with improvements. It brings all-new system animations across the UI, new floating windows for easier multitasking, new control center to name a few. It brings improvements in the security and privacy departments with Hidden Mask Mode, Interceptor, and Flare modes. Apart from these, there is also an all-new dark mode 2.0 on the MIUI 12, that lets you force dark mode on the third-party applications as well. Check out the complete changelogs,

System animations
New: All-new physically based animation engine with advanced architecture will refresh your device’s look.

System visuals
Brand new visual design works for all types of content and languages.

Floating Windows
New: Pull down a notification sent by a messenger app to turn it into a floating window.
New: Floating windows keep apps running in the foreground even when you pause to do other things.
New: You can minimize a floating window using a full screen gesture.

Control center
New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open Control center
New: Animated icons are a joy to look at!
New: Swipe down from the upper right corner of your screen to open Control center.

Dark mode
New: Dark mode support is also provided for third party apps now.
New: Contrast is lowered automatically in low light conditions to protect your eyes.
New: Wallpapers can be displayed in darker palette when your device switches to Dark mode.

New: You can hide private items while casting and minimize the window to multitask.

Updated Android Security Patch to September 2020. Increased system security.

This is a public roll-out but it may take sometime before the update appears on your smartphone. Xiaomi has already rolled out MIUI 12 Stable update for various smartphones including POCO X2, POCO M2 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Redmi Note 9Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Redmi Note 7 Pro.
