POCO F2 May Finally Launch in 2021 in India As a Mid-Range Smartphone Powered by Snapdragon 732G

POCO F2 is tipped to be fuelled by a massive 4,250mAh battery.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO debuted in India back in 2018 with the launch of F1. After the successful launch of the brand, the sub-brand has launched a series of smartphones in various price ranges and categories. Despite the constant request from the fans the company is yet to launch the POCO F2. However, it seems that the company has shared a video on Twitter showcasing the recap of its progress in 2020 and a teaser of upcoming devices in 2021. Here’s a closer look at the latest teaser shared by POCO.

POCO F2 India Launch

POCO India has shared a teaser video in which the company has recapped the progress of 2020 and a glimpse of what to expect from 2021. At the end of the video, the company has added a text reading ‘The F2’ hinting that the company is gearing up to launch the POCO F2.

“The stage is set! The fun has begun! Let us get ready to take it to the next level! Excited? You should be, coz the next year is going to be even crazier. While we enjoy, let us look back at everything we’ve achieved together! Thank you,” reads the POCO India Twitter post.

It seems that the company has decided to launch the successor of POCO F1 which is already existing in the home country as POCO F2 Pro, but the smartphone never made its way to the Indian market. According to the report, the POCO F2 seems to be a cheaper version of the existing POCO F2 Pro. But the recent leaks are narrating a different story.

XiaomiUI Telegram group suggests that the POCO F2 will fall in a mid-range segment and it comes with a code name “Courbet”. The smartphone is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm’s sm7150 platform, which is expected to be the latest Snapdragon 732G SoC. The handset is said to feature a quad-camera setup at the back along with an LED flash.

The alleged POCO F2 is tipped to be fuelled by a massive 4,250mAh battery, which will also support reverse charging and NFC support in the global model. So note that the company is yet to reveal anything official about the specifications of the handset, and we recommend you to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt and wait for the official launch.
