POCO F3 GT back

A new variant of the Poco F3 is reportedly set to be launched soon, alongside the upcoming Poco M4 Pro. The launch event is set to take place on Tuesday, November 9. While the event will likely focus on the Poco M4 Pro smartphone, the company has also officially confirmed that a new variant of the Poco F3 will also be present at the event. The update was shared by the Poco Global Twitter handle, but does not reveal exactly what might the device be called.

Poco F3: expected specifications

The Poco F3 that is tipped to be launching in global markets is also reported to be based on the Redmi K40 smartphone that has already been unveiled in China. The move seems plausible, as the Xiaomi group has of late reserved the Redmi K series smartphones for China, while operating global devices rebranded under its Poco brand.

If this holds true, the Poco F3 may feature a 6.67-inch, full HD+ display with a super AMOLED panel, HDR10+ certification and 120Hz refresh rate. The device may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, and its variants may range from 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, all the way up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. A total of four RAM and storage variants are on offer with the Redmi K40 smartphone, and it remains to be seen how the Poco F3 is configured for global markets.

In terms of other specifications, the Poco F3 may feature a 48MP triple rear camera, capable of recording up to 4K videos at 30fps, as well as full HD slow motion videos. To the front, it may feature a 20MP selfie camera – also capable of hosting full HD video calls. The device may have a side mounted fingerprint sensor, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 in terms of wireless connectivity.

All of this may be powered by a 4,520mAh battery supported by 33W fast charging. Whether these specifications hold true will be revealed at the global Poco event tomorrow, which should hold all the answers.
