Poco F4 with Snapdragon 870 SoC, 8GB RAM Visits Geekbench; Could Launch as Rebadged Redmi K40S

Poco F4 is expected to launch very soon in Europe and other markets. There is no word on the device’s launch in India at the moment. The company is expected to announce the F4 series launch date very soon.

Meanwhile, a Geekbench listing has revealed the specifications of the vanilla model. According to the leak, the phone has the model number 22021211RG. The device comes with a Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood, which has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz. The processor is paired with an Adreno 650 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM under the hood. The Poco smartphone runs Android 12 out of the box and will have a layer of MIUI 13 on top of Android.

The F4 listed on Geekbench has the same codename “munch” as the Redmi K40S. Redmi launched the K40S at the K50 series launch event earlier this month in China. We can expect the F4 to launch as a rebranded Redmi K40S in global markets.

In that case, the F4 will sport a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It will have a 120Hz refresh rate panel and display features like HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1300 nits brightness, etc. The phone will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will come with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the front camera will have a 20MP sensor. Under the hood, the F4 will feature a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It has dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and weighs about 195 grams.
